🐦💚🌳 so many sparrows hang out in the south easterly facing hedge in the forest garden. snuck in there a little earlier and stood still and caught them having a good preen while the sun showed its face for ten minutes. the lad in the second shot on the left looks like he’s nibbling on the bark of the dog roses. or maybe theres tiny insects there that he’s getting that i can’t see. all very handsome little birds though and so fluffy when they stick all their feathers out for a shake 😊🐦💚
💛the gorse is throwing out some yellow flowers again. its fairly mild out so why not!💛

💖tiny little downy feather caught on the grasses
🌼a very late comer to the party but really rather well turned out. i actually saw a few solitary bees out earlier in the sun too so hopefully they’ll find this perfect dandelion on their forage
🌼inside this mallow is a little earwig staying out of the wind💚
🍂🍃been mulching the fruit and nut trees with some goat willow mulch this past few days when the weather plays ball. good stuff for the trees. helps with negative fungal issues apparently and generally keeping them healthy
❤️🐦and a little beauty up in the hawthorn singing its territorial song. sure, why not!❤️🐦
